What happens without a Will, and risk management
- 1
Shareholders may not accept your family
Your shares pass to family members under the Intestate Succession Act. The surviving shareholders may not accept them as partners.
- 2
Operations stall and profit is at risk
Until a Letter of Administration is granted, no one can act on your shares. Decisions wait, especially if you are the key person.
- 3
Your family may receive less
If you guarantee company borrowing, creditors can claim against your estate before your family inherits.

The “When I die” folder
Your family picks up one folder and knows where your assets are, what you owe and what you value. One Will service fee covers all five; the four beside your Will are complimentary.
FAQ
How much does it cost to write a Will in Singapore with Alps Wills®?
Contact Alps Wills® for the fee, as it depends on whether a testamentary trust is needed. Without a testamentary trust, it is a flat rate.
What happens if I die without a Will in Singapore?
Your family will need to apply for a Letter of Administration, and your estate is divided according to the Intestate Succession Act rather than your own wishes.
What makes a Will valid in Singapore?
It must be in writing, made by a person aged 21 or above, signed at the foot by the testator, and witnessed by two witnesses present at the same time. A witness must not be a beneficiary or a beneficiary's spouse.
Does Alps Wills® offer will writing with a home visit?
Yes. A home visit is included in every Will package. You can also meet us at a nearby mall or online, in English, Mandarin, Thai or Tagalog.
Will writer vs lawyer in Singapore: what is the difference?
A Will Writer drafts Wills; a lawyer can also act in court. Alps Wills® is not a law firm. Our Certified Will Writers draft your Will, and our partner lawyers handle probate, Letter of Administration and LPA Form 2.
What is included in the Will package?
A home visit, LPA setup, a lawyer-certified true copy upon probate, a CPF nomination review and a Schedule of Assets and Liabilities. As a goodwill gesture, we also keep your second original safe.
